Special Sections, Advertising once a week publication

I like the idea of Special Sections having a more prominent spot on a newspaper’s site, instead of being buried under another link which doesn’t even state Special Sections, such as “Shopping” or “Advertise” which are used by many newspaper sites as the root or parent link.

I wonder how advertisers would like to sponsor the user-generated content and online communities found on the Special Sections page. Their online ads will reach niche markets and the target audience by appearing with Special Sections supplements.

For even more value, and community interest, once a week the Special Sections department could publish – in print – a publication that recaps the weeks blog posts, contests/winners, reader photos, etc. with advertiser support.
